What to Know Before Your Fence Installation
At Hawk Fences, we want to make your fence installation process as smooth and seamless as possible. Whether you’re adding privacy, security, or aesthetic value to your home, having the right information and making informed decisions are the core of the fence installation process. Here’s everything you need to know before we install your fence.
Key Steps to Prepare for Your Fence Installation:
Know Your Budget: Before beginning your fence installation, it’s important to have a clear understanding of your budget. Fencing materials and project scope can vary significantly in cost, so having a defined range will help us guide you to the best options within your budget.
Select Your Materials: Choosing the right fencing material for your project is essential. At Hawk Fences, we offer a wide variety of options including wood, vinyl, chain link, aluminum and wrought iron fencing. Each material has different strengths and maintenance needs, so take time to think about which option best suits your property and long-term plans.
Clarify Your Needs & Wants: Be clear and concise about your fencing needs. Whether it’s for privacy, security, or decoration, communicating your desires early in the process ensures that the final result aligns with your vision.
Homeowner’s Responsibilities:
Permits & Regulations: It is the homeowner’s responsibility to research and pull any necessary city permits. Hawk Fences can handle this for you if requested, but please note that additional fees will apply for permit services.
HOA Approval: If your property is within a Homeowners Association (HOA), please ensure that you secure the appropriate approvals before we begin the project. This is the homeowner’s responsibility.
Utility Marking & Sprinkler Systems: Hawk Fences will handle underground utility location services with 811 to prevent damage during installation. However, please mark your sprinkler system and any other delicate features on your property that may be impacted by the construction process.
Inform Your Neighbors: While we aim to be as considerate as possible, fencing installation can create some noise. We encourage you to notify your neighbors ahead of time about the project’s start date, so they are aware of any temporary disruptions (especially if you’re connecting your fence to theirs).
Review All Terms & Conditions: Before we proceed, ensure that you have read through all the terms and conditions of the project. This will include payment schedules, warranties, and any other important considerations to avoid confusion later.
We are committed to delivering a high-quality fence that will serve your property for years to come. If you have any additional questions or need further clarification, feel free to contact us at (404) 324-3368 or [email protected].
